SFS Group Fastening Technology has unveiled ErgoDek®, an ergonomic fastening solution engineered to transform metal deck overlap installation. Bringing together a simple design, productivity‑boosting performance and a strong focus on worker wellbeing, ErgoDek® marks a significant step forward for roofing and cladding contractors seeking safe, fast, and consistent installation tools.

Purpose-built for metal deck overlap applications, the new ErgoDek® system integrates seamlessly with industry‑standard cordless screwdrivers and features a magazine‑mounted fastener system that minimises fatigue, improves fastening quality, and enables consistent fastener installation. ErgoDek® is available in three variants:

CF20‑ErgoDek‑D - Compatible with DeWalt DCF622®

CF20‑ErgoDek‑H - Compatible with Hilti ST1800‑A22® and ST2000‑22®

ErgoDek® is suitable for a wide range of deck profiles and can secure into a deck thickness of 2x 1.25mm. ErgoDek® is a welcome addition to the SFS metal deck offering. The tool is compatible with the SL2-4,8 and CDM-4,8 fixing. Both fasteners have a spin free zone to prevent overdriving. The prescence of the Fast-Tip on the CDM-4,8 provides an even faster install speed and reduces swarf in the drilling process.
