Leading heating and plumbing distributor Navigator has announced a number of developments that will maintain the company’s leading position in the distribution marketplace – including the arrival of a substantial array of new renewable related products.

An exciting new catalogue is now available and there will be a downloadable digital version available from the website too. It's a sturdy tome with sections covering in total more than 4,500 products under plumbing fittings, plastic pipe and fittings, heating, sanitary and appliances, general valves, gas, renewables, plumbing consumables and taps and showers.

The web site has had a refresh of its own as well with improvements from start to finish, but most importantly in the ease with which you can get around the site and find the specific products you’re after. It’s even easier to set up an account making purchasing easier too.

Under the plastic pipes and fittings section of the catalogue you'll find Navigators own brand of PB and PEX barrier pipes and a full range of push fit fittings. Altopoly push fit fittings are suitable for a wide range of plumbing & heating installations, simple to use, reliable, fully demountable and reusable. The engineered polymer construction is lighter and more durable with a greater burst resistance than copper. Each fitting combines push fit and patented twist locking technology to guarantee leak free joints. To demount the fittings, it’s an easy finger-tip release with no tools needed.

These push fit options from Navigator are suitable for use with pipes made from Copper, PEX, PB, PE-RT and cPVC – it should be noted that pipe inserts must be used when connecting plastic pipes. They are fully NSF approved, and each fitting carries a no quibble 25-year warranty when used with Altopoly pipe products.

Available now, normally with next day delivery from Navigator, the standard range of 15mm and 22mm sizes includes couplers, elbows, equal tees, reducing unions, end stops, and BSP adapters.

Both Altopoly PB and Altopoly PEX pipe are approved by WRAS and have been popular for many years, and meet the approvals of BS 6920-2014 for use in potable water systems, as well as being manufactured to standard BS 7291:1990 Class S.
