Keller Kitchens Celebrates Red Dot Success At Singapore
Bio-based kitchen concept recognised for combining design innovation with market-ready manufacturing
Keller Kitchens, part of Dutch kitchen manufacturer DKG, has officially received its Red Dot Design Award during a ceremony at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore. The award was presented on 15 October, with representatives of DKG’s product management and innovation departments accepting the honour on behalf of the multidisciplinary team behind the company’s bio-based kitchen concept.

The ceremony marked an important milestone for a project that has progressed beyond the initial concept stage. Keller Kitchens has successfully translated the bio-based kitchen concept into a market-ready proposition and put it into practice. The project demonstrates how material innovation, design quality and large-scale manufacturing expertise can be brought together in a commercially relevant kitchen solution. The award-winning concept is now featured at the Red Dot Design Museum at Marina Bay in Singapore and included in the Red Dot Design Yearbook 2026 and website alongside internationally recognised product designs.
The project was led by Connie Vis, Project Manager Portfolio & Innovation at DKG Services, who championed its development from initial concept through to a market-ready proposition. “Accepting the award on behalf of the entire team was a very special moment,” said Connie Vis. “Although one person receives the award on stage, a project like this can only succeed through the expertise, creativity and commitment of many colleagues. This recognition reflects what we have achieved together.” The development involved teams across design, innovation, sourcing, engineering, production and commercial functions. Their combined expertise enabled DKG to turn the original idea into a practical proposition suitable for production at scale.

For dealers, contract partners and specifiers, this manufacturing capability is particularly relevant. It enables Keller Kitchens to move beyond individual concepts and apply innovation within kitchen solutions for residential construction, renovation and wider interior projects. Stefan Buijsingh, Innovation Manager at DKG Services, attended the event alongside Connie Vis. During the visit, he also explored developments in international design and innovation and considered their potential relevance to future products and market opportunities.
“A good idea is only the beginning,” said Stefan Buijsingh. “Many organisations can develop promising concepts, but far fewer have the expertise and manufacturing capability to bring them successfully to market at scale. Our strength lies in connecting innovation with engineering, production and practical application.”
The recognition reinforces DKG’s position as a forward-thinking manufacturer serving both dealer and contract markets. By combining design and material innovation with industrial production expertise, the company aims to deliver market-ready kitchen solutions that respond to changing customer and project requirements. www.kellerkitchens.com
