Twelve volunteers from the East Haddon-based manufacturer of high-quality cast stonework, Haddonstone, including the new Managing Director, Nick Lantsbery, spent an afternoon planting 500 saplings in Desborough alongside members of North Northamptonshire Council.

As the first celebratory diary date marking the company’s 55th anniversary year, the planting not only reaffirmed Haddonstone’s longstanding commitment to its surroundings but also reinforced its ongoing dedication to supporting a greener, more sustainable future. The new planting contributes to the creation of a vibrant green space in the heart of Desborough, enhancing the local environment and providing an area that will be enjoyed by residents and wildlife for years to come.

The activity also offered a welcome opportunity for colleagues to step away from the office, work together outdoors, and engage with the wider community. The event was attended by Cllr David Howes who commented: “It’s fantastic to see this investment in our local greenspace here in Desborough. Planting new trees is a simple yet powerful way to enhance the environment, support biodiversity, and create a greener, healthier place for residents to enjoy. I’m grateful to the team at Haddonstone for their commitment to the area and for working with us to make a positive, lasting impact in the ward.” For further information, call 01604 770711 or visit  www.haddonstone.com
