Schlüter-Systems Showcases Solutions At Multiplex Centre For Excellence

Schlüter-Systems is proud to be part of the newly opened Multiplex Centre for Excellence in Woolwich, London – a pioneering facility designed to elevate standards for Multiplex, their clients, and sub-contractors through hands-on technical training, collaboration and quality assurance.

Opened in May 2026, the Centre for Excellence is a first of its kind training hub for Multiplex in the UK. Designed to bring industry excellence to life, the facility combines classroom-based learning with live demonstrations and full-scale construction mock-ups, enabling professionals to explore best practice in a practical immersive environment.

As part of this landmark project, Multiplex incorporated a range of Schlüter-Systems’ advanced waterproofing and underfloor heating solutions throughout the Centre. Their specification underscores the importance of reliable, high-performance waterproofing and heating systems in achieving quality installation standards while supporting industry learning and skills development.

At the heart of the Centre are the mock-ups themselves - full-scale physical replications of real construction details and interfaces. These allow users to see beyond the finished surface and understand the critical layers beneath. Schlüter-Systems’ waterproofing module plays a key role in this, offering clear visibility into correct system design and installation, while demonstrating best practice in waterproofing and tiled applications.

Training sessions at the Centre will focus on these modules, combining expert-led theoretical learning with detailed, hands-on inspections. This approach ensures that contractors, consultants and project stakeholders can gain a deeper understanding of system performance, installation requirements and quality assurance from the outset.
