The Steel Window Association is delighted to announce Steel Frame Window Refurbishment (SFWR) as the latest member to join the association. SFWR Ltd offers a comprehensive range of services, delivering bespoke solutions tailored to the specific requirements of a project, regardless of size or complexity. From individual residential window replacements to large-scale, multi-million-pound steel window packages for Tier One contractors, SFWR provides efficient, high-quality and cost-effective solutions.

Based in Sussex, SFWR specialises in the restoration of historic metal windows. The company’s restoration techniques have been approved by English Heritage for listed building projects, and the company regularly works on Grade I and Grade II listed properties.
SFWR restores a wide variety of historic metal windows dating from the 16th century onwards, including wrought iron, cast iron, cast steel, hot-rolled steel and aluminium systems. Where restoration is not possible, the company can manufacture bespoke replica metal windows, accurately matching the original design and character of historic installations.
Karl Tandy, Operational Director for SFWR, comments “We are delighted to have joined the Steel Window Association. As a company specialising in the restoration, repair and refurbishment of traditional steel windows and doors, becoming a member of the SWA is an important step for SFWR. It gives us the opportunity to engage with other specialists in the industry, share knowledge and continue developing the standards and quality of work we provide to our clients. We are very much looking forward to contributing to the Association and becoming actively involved with its members.”
Kris Bennell, President of the Steel Window Association, adds “We are pleased to welcome SFWR to the Association. The company has built an impressive reputation for the restoration and refurbishment of historic steel windows, combining exceptional craftsmanship with a strong commitment to preserving our built heritage. The company’s expertise in listed and heritage projects, together with dedication to high standards and quality, makes them a valuable addition. We look forward to working closely with Karl, Paul and the wider SFWR team as they contribute their knowledge and experience to the Association and the wider steel window industry.”
