James Hardie, the world’s number one producer and marketer of high-performance fibre cement cladding and backerboard, has unveiled a state-of-the-art training facility at its UK headquarters in Sutton Coldfield, as part of its commitment to setting new benchmarks in training and development within the construction sector.

The company will hold training sessions at the centre where installers will learn about the full range of Hardie products, and receive hands-on installation training from a James Hardie technical expert. Built to accommodate large group training sessions, the centre will deliver pre-project training, reducing the number of on-site visits required throughout the installation process - delivering considerable cost and time efficiencies for construction firms.
Through strategic partnerships with architects, developers and builders merchants the centre will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of façade installation practices and driving continued growth and development within the industry.

Lee Bucknall, UK Country Manager at James Hardie said: “The launch of the Training Centre marks a significant milestone for James Hardie, reinforcing our position as a leader in innovation and education within the building materials sector. This facility is designed to serve as a hub for learning and skill enhancement, and reflects our commitment to empower professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver superior results.”
As part of its strategy to advance industry expertise and innovation, James Hardie plans to construct a Specification Room at the site to provide further product knowledge.
